Design Of The Week - Umi Sushi Experience

The unimaginable can immerse from the world of Packaging Design – this time, for Umi Sushi Experience, the approach to the take-away sushi box has been re-conceptualised for greatness.

Designed by the Javier Garduño Estudio De Diseño creative agency, Umi Sushi Experience re-purposes the take-away box 'ideal' to something more unique and delectable.

No longer will you have to carry around a plastic bag full of utensils, nor re-live the haunting memories when the lid tumbled off from your sushi packaging on the walk back from your lunch-hunt.

Umi Sushi Experience built their packaging based off convenience and the ease of utility. Their die-cut labels are closed off with chopsticks, with customised designs of cut-out dolls to be collected to add a finishing touch of humour.

Take-away sushi is no longer a dull experience for the customer. Grabbing lunch with your friends, co-workers or family will be one that's not only efficient, but a one-of-a-kind experience (Let's face it... who has ever seen chopsticks being used far beyond the purpose of a utensil? We haven't!)
